I think Obama is so used to turning the other cheek that he doesn’t know that there is a point at which you have to stand up for yourself and those who voted for you. He’s letting the dead-enders run the show for fear of looking like an angry black man.
Look, Mr. President – I’m an angry white gal and I’m right behind you, along with lots of others who are absolutely furious about the crass, cretinous game the GOP is playing. They care not one whit for the ignorant rubes who are embarrassing themselves at town halls (and who will keep their kids home from school on Tuesday) – but they will use them, they will absolutely wring them out until there’s nothing left if it means they get to stay in control of the $14 Trillion in U.S. GDP.
We are dancing on the edge of a cliff and the GOP is using 20% to try and push over the other 80. Mr. President, we have the weight advantage here. PLEASE use your speech on Wednesday night to throw that weight away from the cliff edge and put the GOP where they belong: between us and oblivion.
